The name Kinovus is derived from combining core concepts of movement and clarity: Kine (from Kinetic meaning motion and energy) and Novus (meaning new, fresh, or vis for sight). It perfectly captures our commitment to providing dynamic, forward-looking insight so our clients can achieve a clear new path forward.
A Note from our Founder David Coons
From my high school years, I always loved Accounting. I was the nerdy kid who geeked out when the debits equalled the credits and all the numbers were correct. That followed me into college where I finished up a Business Degree and jumped into bookkeeping for a technology company in the Atlanta area. Eventually, I started my own company and provided bookkeeping and web design services, as well as IT consulting and procurement. With three young daughters at the time, I made the decision to step away from entrepreneurship and started working in sales and consulting to be more of a presence for my family.
A lot has changed in the years since that decision. My children are all grown and out of the house and I am blessed with four grandchildren and an awesome wife who is my biggest cheerleader. As a Christian, I feel that God gives us skills, abilities and passions for a reason and that reason is to serve others. The whole goal of starting Kinovus was to give God a vehicle to use me to serve and bless others. Regardless of whether you are a person of faith or not, I would love the opportunity to start a conversation with you to see if we can find a pathway for us to work together in the future.

Kinovus was started with one simple purpose in mind. It wasn't to grow into a huge organization or to attract investors or attention. It wasn't even to create a side-gig for our founder.
Kinovus was started to allow its team members, associates, and partners to serve our clients with excellence and integrity. Whether our clients are spiritual in nature or not, we will lead this organization with honesty, integrity, love and prayer as if working for God and not for people. (Colossians 3:23)
